On Heroes

Mark McGwire once said, in defense of Charles Barkley’s “I am not a role model” advertisement, that children should have real heroes in their everyday life. He took some grief for this, but I couldn’t agree more.

On Being a Christian Agnostic Leaning Atheist

Recently, I posted a Facebook status that led to an ugly discussion with someone I care deeply about. The status was a joke involving some coincidences, educated guesses, baseball and proof of the presence of a deity.
